Sara Labelle

2024 OPSEU/SEFPO Presidential Candidate

Campaign Priorities

In my ongoing commitment to our cause, I am prioritizing the following key areas in our current campaign:

Strengthening our Team

Investing in staff and resources to enhance our support team for members. Collaboratively building a larger support network to address the evolving needs of our members effectively.

Inclusion and Equity

Building on our past successes, the current focus remains on advancing inclusion and equity within our organization. Working to create an environment that is diverse, equitable, and inclusive for all members.

Action not talk. Using internal structures and community as a guide.

Member Engagement and Growth

Emphasizing repair and growth through active member engagement

Ensuring our union continues to evolve and thrive by fostering a strong sense of community and participation. Being responsive to emails and calls. I commit to getting back to you when you reach out. You matter.

Prioritizing member grievances. I will commit to a review of the current processes and strike a member driven working group to outline ways to enhance the process.

Information Technology and Advancement

Leading initiatives to propel OPSEU/SEFPO into a new era through strategic investments in Information Technology.

Embracing and implementing cutting-edge programs to keep our union at the forefront of technological advancements.

Collaboration with Other Union Leaders

Continuously strengthening relationships with union leaders within the Ontario Federation of Labour and the National Union of Public and General Employees.

Collaborating on shared goals and initiatives to amplify the collective voice of our members.

Thank you for standing with me in this journey

As we navigate the current landscape, these priorities reflect our commitment to adapt, grow, and lead our union into a future defined by progress and inclusivity. Your support in achieving these goals is invaluable, and together, we will build a stronger and more resilient union.
